Who ever said being a celebrity is just about being attractive and talented? For a celebrity to be remarkable and influential, one has to speak up about things that matter. Celebrities need to have substance, too and use their influence for a greater cause.
These local celebrities have hearts of gold and minds who speak up for what they believe in.
Not only is she one of the sexiest women in this industry, but this bombshell is also an inspiration to her supporters because of her resilience and substance. After her brother’s sudden death, the actress took to Instagram how mental illnesses like depression should not be taken for granted. In her post, she wrote and opened up about her own battle with depression saying that she has struggled with it way back and even up to this day, which is why she participated in the hashtag #KeepGoing; in order to spread awareness on this matter.
A name that is always talked about on social media, the DubSmash queen did not fail to make it into the list. Not too long ago, Maine Mendoza was also praised for her response against Joey de Leon’s joke about clinical depression to which in the end, Joey has said his apologies to Maine and to everyone who has battled and is battling clinical depression. Just recently, she starred in the Eat Bulaga telemovie entitled “Love Is…” with the other half of AlDub, Alden Richards that tackled the issue.
Lately, she also gave out advices to fans through the site Ask.fm about depression and coming out.

The teen queen now Queen of Hearts Kathryn Bernardo, being one of the most famous actresses of this generation is not new to cyberbullying and has spoken about her personal experience. She has also stated that it got to the point where she would lock herself up in her room because of all the bashing. She also spoke about not being that active on social media anymore because that platform can be a place of too much negativity. She is now an Ambassador for Cybersmile Foundation, standing up against cyberbullying.

King of Hearts and the other half of phenomenal love team KathNiel, Daniel Padilla is also an ambassador for Cybersmile Foundation, an international anti-cyberbullying non-profit foundation. Both were announced as Asia’s official Cybersmile Ambassadors last March.

Him and Kathryn had also showed their support for Cybersmile Foundation’s #STOPCYBERBULLYINGDAY.
Last December 15, Liza Soberano made headlines about starting her own business and advocacy, Hope Hand and Foot Wellness Center located at the Creekside Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The actress told the media that “wellness goes beyond beauty”. She also said that it was her aunt who inspired her to put up HOPE. She wants to impart to her customers that they should focus on wellness “as a mindset, lifestyle and ritual” for she believes that wellness is essential in making is the best version that we can be.
