Athena Gana, who is Daniel’s childhood friend, is under fire from KathNiel fans online after being pointed out as the person behind a Twitter fan account that has been professing feelings for the young actor and spreading hate towards Kathryn Bernardo.

The issue started when Athena tweeted on her alleged Twitter fan account, “So my crush called me baby again… but not the endearment, he called me baby, a baby. He said I couldn’t drink and get baked because I’m still a baby. I know I’ve been friend-zoned since I was 16 but now I’m baby-zoned.”

If it is indeed Athena behind the fan account, then she is actually talking about her “childhood best friend” who is Daniel Padilla, fans then assumed that the “demonic girlfriend” that the young lady must be talking about is Kathryn Bernardo.

“It really does. And what makes it weird is that he has a demonic girlfriend that we all hate, he doesn’t deserve,” said the fan account.

Fans of both Kathryn and Daniel were quick enough to take screenshots of the fan account before it changed its status from public to private.

Although some people are giving Athena the benefit of the doubt and saying that it could have been a poser using the fan account. However, a screenshot that a Twitter user took of a tweet from the fan account might just be enough proof that it really is Athena behind the account. The tweet had photos of Athena supposedly intoxicated.

This supposed revelation angered KathNiel fans even more and now Athena has now become a target of online hate.

As of writing, Athena Gana, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla have yet to comment about the issue.
