Sofia Andres is under hot waters right now after entertainment bloggers accused her of being maldita and matapobre. Bloggers aired out their issues with Sofia when the actress tweeted: “Too tired of being too nice.” The bloggers claimed that she was not nice to begin with, airing out their frustrations that the young actress has always been a snob and is notorious for always being on her phone even during press conferences and interviews.
After the allegations, Sofia has since apologized and posted a lengthy apology on her Instagram story. She wrote: “I just want to say sorry, really sorry for those who think I ignored them, disrespected them, and think I never wanted to say hi or acknowledge them whenever they see me.” She went on to say that she acts like this because she has a fear of rejection, seemingly never knowing if people want to talk to her or not.
Even after her apology, more accusations of her bad attitude come up. The former National Press Club president, Benny Antiporda, also has allegations to the actress. She called Sofia ‘habitual bastos’.
“Bastos talaga itong babaeng ito and I can attest to that, binastos din nyan ang anak ko sa SM Baguio. At that time asungot palang siya sa teleserye ni Liza Soberano. Nag-umpisa pa lang sya noon bastos na, ngayon pa kaya? My daughter was 10 yrs old at that time. Requesting for a picture with her, with a high tone and in a rude manner she said, ‘Nagmamadali ako.’ After a brief walk in SM, nakita lang namin sila ng lalakeng kasama nya na naglalambingan and that’s it.”
In a recent interview, Sofia said that she’s hoping that the press and bloggers can forgive her. “I hope that they can forgive me and not to make it a big deal because let’s just be positive. I mean, I’m just crazy sometimes. I have my [reasons]. Huwag naman nila isipin na I’m that bad, kasi people here know me for who I am. Kung sila, kung hindi pa nila ako ganun kakilala, I hope na bigyan nila ako ng chance to introduce myself properly and to make it up to them.”
When she was asked about using her phone during interviews, she answered that she has learned already to always be focused. “Siguro, when it’s work, work. Kasi, I had my phone. I’ve been using my phone during the interview, so now I’ve learned. I mean, just be focus, kasi during that… I had issues. Pag kunyari, personal, personal. If it’s like work, then work. I didn’t expect that they would make it a big deal, and use it against me.”
