It was like a blast from the past when former lovers Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales crossed paths again. In an event attended by selected A-list celebs only held at 8 Rockwell, the two were seen casually chatting with each other with Heart even meeting Jericho’s wife, Kim Jones.

Eventologist Tim Yap was the mastermind behind this heart-wrenching reunion as he was the one who organized the intimate gathering for the 80th anniversary of the luggage brand, Rimowa. The attendees were Solenn Heussaff and husband Nico Bolzico, Heart Evangelista, Chef Bruce Ricketts, model Mikaela Martinez, Iza Calzado, Nadine Lustre, Jericho Rosales and wife Kim Jones and film director Paul Soriano.

“Two old friends meet again,” captioned Tim Yap on the now viral photo of Jericho and Heart. Naturally, netizens couldn’t help but reminisce their shared romance years ago which abruptly ended in 2008 with Rosales breaking down in national television.

It couldn’t be denied that the two really shared lasting memories with each other. Heart even acknowledged Rosales years ago as her greatest love. “I still believe in the idea of a one true love, and it could be with somebody you don’t necessarily end up with. For me, talagang it’s Jericho.” She added: “It’s the best life I ever had, and I will never forget it.”

Their reunion obviously sent Twitter on fire, with people referencing their meeting to the Academy award-winning film La La Land. “I wonder if they had a la la land montage of what could’ve been,” tweeted @theniconicdao. Some even edited their photos from the dinner and made it look like film stills.

Although we all know that both of them are now happily married and have moved on already, it’s always a treat to see exes reunited and having a good time together. No matter how many years have passed, seeing them together still brings a tinge of kilig.
