On her Video blog post, Yeng Constantino shared her side on the issue about Manny Pacquiao’s opinion on same-sex marriage that made the LGBT community angry.
The video posted last February 18 on Facebook, Yeng said that she was very hesitant in giving out her opinion about the topic, but her silence was broken after a particular tweet that really got into her.
The said tweet says that she should also give her opinion against homosexuality as a “Christian” like what Manny did. She said that she was about to reply to this tweet but her husband, Yan Asuncion, told her to stay calm and pray first before doing any actions.
Eventually, Yeng told everyone why it is hard for her to talk about this issue that concerns the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender).
“…and for someone na gusto akong i-encouraged na to talk like that about my brother, hindi ko ho kayang gawin yun.”
Yeng admitted that before she decided to post the vblog, she contacted his brother first, and asked him if he has heard about the issue and he said “oo napanuod niya na raw yung sinabi ni Sir Manny Pacquiao at nasaktan siya, sabi ko, sabi ko na nga ba masasaktan siya eh.”
She said that her love for his brother can’t be compared to how much love god has for him “Paano pa ang Diyos, e, siya ang love. God is love.”
In terms of her apology to the LGBT community she uttered:
“I believe that God believes in you.
“Sorry po in behalf of those Christians who are growing still in compassion.
And for her final words and reply about the person who told her to have a stand against Homosexuality, she exclaimed:
“Are we loving? Are we really loving people? That’s the question.
“I’m not saying this dahil perfect po ako, ha.
Video: About LGBT issue. Dahil sa isang tweet napasagot tuloy ako. Pero salamat na din. ❤️ peace to everyone.
