ABS-CBN Releases 2019 Show Line Up

Fans of Philippine entertainment can expect 2019 to be a big year for quality content as ABS-CBN has just released their program line-up for the year and it’s more than what we expected!

ABS-CBN made big announcements during their trade launch last Tuesday part of which were the programs and films that audiences can expect to enjoy in 2019. Content ranging from television shows, films, and digital shows were announced during the event for the Kapamilya network’s advertisers.

Here is what to expect in the coming year!

World of Dance Philippines


Philippine showbiz’s dance icons Gary Valenciano, Maja Salvador, and Billy Crawford return to reality TV competition in World of Dance Philippines as judges. The show is patterned after a US counterpart where the winner will be competing in. The show will be hosted by Luis Manzano and Pia Wurtzbach.

Minute To Win It: Last Man Standing


Luis Manzano returns for another season of the iconic game show.

Idol Philippines


Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid makes an even greater comeback with ABS-CBN as the host of Idol Philippines, the Kapamilya network’s franchise of the international hit show, American Idol. 

iWant Originals, Live, and Hits


ABS-CBN’s digital platform iWant makes a huge entrance in 2019 with a wide range of new offerings in terms of content with new titles to be excited about such as High, Project Feb. 14, Story of My Life, The End, Commuters, Touch Screen, Find The Wasabi, Jhon en Martian, and Everybody Loves Wendy.


In terms of film content, ABS-CBN starts of with Eerie, the Mikhail Red directed horror-thriller which stars Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos-Concio.

Heart of Mine


Star Cinema opens big in 2019 with Heart of Mine starring Jennylyn Mercado and Richard Gutierrez.

Sakaling Maging Tayo


The highly anticipated McLisse film entitled Sakaling Maging Tayo is Black Sheep’s first film offering in 2019.



Following Sakaling Maging Tayo from Black Sheep is Open starring JC Santos and Arci Muñoz.



Jodi Sta. Maria returns to the big screen in the horror film, Clarita.

LizQuen 2019


Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil return to the big screen in their highly anticipated film by Black Sheep productions which will be directed by Antoinette Jadaone.

Mea Culpa


Free television is about to get more exciting with Dreamscape Entertainment’s latest offering entitled Mea Culpa, a thriller series which will be directed by Dan Villegas starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Kit Thomspon, Tony Labrusca, Ketchup Eusebio, Bela Padilla, Sandino Martin, and Ivana Malawi.

Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit


Young child star Sophie Reola makes her debut in Philippine television in Nang Ngumiti ang Langit which will also star Kaye Abad and Cristine Reyes.

The General’s Daughter


And finally the much awaited return of Angel Locsin to the small screen, The General’s Daughter, is also highlighted during the grand event by the Kapamilya network. The highly anticipated series boasts of a powerhouse cast that includes Maricel Soriano, Tirso Cruz III, Albert Martinez, Paulo Avelino, Eula Valdez, JC de Vera, Janice de Belen, Ronnie Alonte, and Loisa Andalio.
