Actor Diego Loyzaga is in hot waters right now after a Grab driver filed a complaint against him. The driver named Ronel accused the actor of being violent while drunk on the road. In an interview, Ronel said: “Bigla na lang silang bumulusok, bineat pa nga nila yung red light. Tapos biglang tumalon itong artistang si Diego loyzaga, at nanlilisik yung mata lasing na lasing. Pagewang-gewang eh

Two days after the complaint, Diego spoke up and dismissed the allegations of the driver. “We came from a two-week taping in Clark. And I just got home that Thursday night. And it was the victory party of a show. So we were a bunch of people – there was a car behind me full of artists from different countries and a backup car and we had a hagad. But was not my personal security. It was part of the farewell party ’cause they all don’t speak Filipino, obviously. So they had to have people that were there to take care of them,”

He continued: “I was coming from this said party. It was 3am in the morning. We were passing by Taft and I was asleep by that time in my car. I was dead tired. I sleeping, luckily, with the seat belt on. Nakadaan daw ‘yung hagad but before our car stick with the convoy, may bigla daw Adventure na abrupt turn to the left without signaling, without indicator and cut the convoy. We might have been traveling in what, 60 kilometers per hour, to abrupt break there, napaliko talaga ‘yung driver ko ng malakas sa kaliwa at nagpreno siya ng malakas. I woke up. Nagtanong ako sa kanya kung ano ‘yung nangyari,”

Diego defended his actions and explained that his actions were only normal.

Like any other incident that happens on the road, ‘pag nagkabanggaan man, ‘pag may nangyari man na ganun, baba ‘yung dalawang kampo ‘di ba para makipag-areglo at ‘yun agad ang ginawa ko. Now, like any other person on the road na almost got into an accident, I reacted normally in that situation. Bumaba ako para kausapin ang driver. So pagbaba ko, nakita nung security na may nangyari so hinarangan ako ng security which nakita dun sa video na pinost nila,”

The actor said that the driver kept videotaping him which offended him. “I said peace to him, and what did he do? He just put up his phone and started taking a video of me. Nabastos ako dun and it didn’t stop me though. I kept saying ‘Peace, bro. Can we talk?’,”

The actor also cleared up that he and his companions didn’t do any damage on the vehicle. As he is now receiving criticisms on social media, Diego said that he understands where the general public is coming from.

“My past hasn’t been all that great, you know what I mean? I’ve had troubles in my past. But just because someone has screwed up in the past, it doesn’t make them the bad person forever. It doesn’t mean siya na lang lagi ang mali,” Diego concluded.
