Hashtag McCoy de Leon Joins Traslacion

  • January 11, 2018

Hashtag member McCoy de Leon took a break from his hectic schedule and made time for his faith as he joined this year’s Traslacion of the Black Nazarene on Tuesday, January 9. The procession is a 221 year old tradition of the country wherein the Black Nazarene is transferred from Intramuros to Quiapo Church. This year, the procession was attended by approximately 1.1 million devotees, and Hashtag member McCoy was one of them.

Proving that he hasn’t changed a bit even though his career has reached greater heights, and he’s now one of this generation’s most admired heartthrobs, McCoy braved the immensely huge crowd and didn’t mind the sweat, dirt, or the danger that might happen.

In his Instagram, he shared his enlightening experience of being able to touch the Black Nazarene. McCoy shared that this was one of the most extraordinary events that has happened to him.

McCoy also extended his gratitude to everyone who helped him reach the Black Nazarene, and his father who presumably was with him during the procession. “Maraming salamat lahat salamat dahil hinayaan mo kong makalapit sayo Poong Nazareno.

It’s not every day that we come across a rising celebrity that still professes everything for his faith and makes time to devote to his God despite his busy schedule. We adore you for that, McCoy!

‪Do what makes you happy :)‬
