The actor immediately divulged the struggles he recently had to go through. “Just recently, I’ve been working non-stop. I had to lose so much weight for a role,” he said.
Paulo didn’t specify which specific project, but he noted that the role required him to lose weight, which he said made him experience an extreme fatigue. “In fact, when they told me that we’re doing a new ad for Century Tuna with the beautiful ladies over here, medyo kinabahan ako kasi I really felt tired. Not that I wasn’t eating right, I was eating healthy pero at the same time I had to lose so much weight for this certain role.”
Despite having difficulties at work, the Century Tuna Superbod stays focused. Even though he’s struggling both physically and mentally because of the demands of his showbiz career, Paulo keeps a positive attitude as he maintains a healthy lifestyle.
“I just really didn’t feel good that time, but I had to recover to show not just to Century Tuna, but to show also to people that if you really want it and you have a will, you can get back into shape and you can live a healthy lifestyle.”
Paulo recently starred in Ang Larawan as Tony Javier with Joanna Ampil and Rachel Alejandro. He’s also set to bring life to Gregorio del Pilar in an upcoming 2018 film Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral produced by Artikulo Uno Productions and TBA Studios.
