“I just needed to re-learn what I’ve learned before,” shared Regine. When asked by Boy Abunda to expound on her statement she said, “[Kinailangan kongkalimutan yung mga na-aral ko na and then yung ibang part, alalahanin ulit.

The singer further revealed that things changed when she gave birth to her son Nate. “Kasi nung nanganak ako, you forget! Ang pinakamahirap saakin ay yung kalimutan yung nakasanayan ko na kasi I’m different now. It [her former technique] doesn’t fit me anymore because I’m older and voice is different and my throat is different [now]. So I have to learn a new technique.”

Regine’s voice has changed over the years but how she stays at the top of her game is by mastering each change that her voice goes through.
