On January 10 episode of It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda talked about politics with his fellow Showtime host and Makati City councilor, Jhong Hilario.

Vice then also joked about running for president. “Kakandidato talaga akong presidente ng Pilipinas, promise. Dalawang eleksyon pa, kakandidato ako tapos presidente talaga agad,”

He continued: “Kapag nanalo ako, isa lang ibig sabihin – sira ulo talaga kayong lahat!

After all the jokes, Vice then shared that he received invitations to run as a senator. ‘O, ngayon, ‘pag mananalo, tatakbo?’”

Vice Ganda is one of the most loved personalities of the country, and celebrities entering politics in the country isn’t anything new. Richard Gomez, Tito Sotto, Vilma Santos are just few examples of TV personalities who are also politicians.
